Our group courses allow the student to maintain a conversation in the language after completion of the 40 lessons of the beginners/intermediate syllabus book.
The course is comprised of 40 one hour weekly classes for a total of 40 hours.
The student needs to commit to 8 one hour classes at a time.
Beginners course - (lesson 1 - 8)
is a great way to learn Spanish with little or no knowledge. The focus is on conversation for fast learning of daily actions. Great foundation for future learning.
INTERMEDIATE I - (lesson 9 - 16) INTERMEDIATE II (lesson 17 - 24)
INTERMEDIATE III (lesson 25 -32) INTERMEDIATE IV (Lesson 33 - 40)
are the continuation of the beginners course for vocabulary development, key grammatical structures, and use of appropriate verbs. The lessons build on one another. The material you've just studied is recycled in later sessions as you learn new words, phrases and grammatical forms.

Research shows that preschool and elementary school children are at the optimal age for second language acquisition.It's never too early! Children who speak a second language test higher, speak better, and retain their languages longer.
The Complete course comprises of 5 Levels A thru E.
Each level has 15 one hour weekly lessons.
Week days after school & Weekend classes.
The language learning program will come alive through fun and entertaining with music, puppets, big books, posters, picture cards, theater, felt board, trivia and bingo games. Come along with us and experience the wonderful world of language learning.

The goal is to have your employees maintain a basic conversation at the completion of our 40 hours lessons.

A $25 transportation fee applies for companies located over 25 miles from our location in Costa Mesa.

The Natural Way method!
Our method is based on the scientific fact that memory is not involved in the learning language process.
Language is a function of the peculiar structure of the human brain. Several areas of the brain have been identified with linguistic skills, such as producing and understanding speech. Parietal Lobe, Left - controls the ability to understand spoken and/or written language. The lobe related to memory is the Temporal Lobe (right & left) controls the visual & verbal memory. With our method you will speak the language being learned from the very begining.
Each lesson starts with a dialogue about common situations that you are likely to experience at home or abroad. You'll learn the most common and useful expressions for everyday conversation.
Our goal is conversation. Key grammatical structures in the dialogue are clearly explained. The lessons build on one another. The material you've just studied is "recycled", or used again, in later sessions as you are learning new words, phrases and grammatical forms.
This method helps you gradually increase your language skills while reinforcing and perfecting material learned previously.

To whom it may concern: I'm writing this letter to recommend the Portal Languages classes. I have taken many language classes before, and speak fluent Spanish, but, I was concerned since I had never taken a class in a private school before. Truthfully, I was most pleasantly surprised. My teacher, Valeria, was both competent and interesting. She greatly exceeded my expectations, always answered my questions, and kept the class moving along quickly and always interesting. A plus was that she spoke fluent Spanish, and she was able to show us who speak Spanish the distinctions that we needed to learn, both in vocabulary and also in grammar, as well as some common mistakes that Spanish-speakers make in learning Portuguese.
I would highly recommend Portal Languages as a great place to begin or continue your study of a foreign language.
